Asset Creation Workflow in Worklists V13

This article addresses the Worklist Asset Creation Workflow – creating assets from the map view within the CropTrak Mobile App.

New in version 13, when digitizing assets you can now utilize the GPS functionality on your mobile device to automatically place the points for you as you move.  You can also choose to manually place GPS coordinates as you move.

Creating New Assets from within your Worklist:

1. Select the farm to add an asset to.
2. Click on the +Form button (lower left-hand corner with the form+ icon) to create a form for a new asset.
3. Enter the Field Name of the new asset.
4. Click on “Create Field” (or something similar beneath the Field Name form item) to access the map view.
5. Enter “Edit Mode” on the map.
6. Place your finger on the map and press & hold down on the spot you want to add your first vertex point. You should see corresponding Lat/Long GPS coordinates display beneath the Edit Mode area on the upper left hand corner of the screen. Even though you have automatically entered the GPS coordinates, you can still select any vertex point and manually enter a new GPS value.
7. Grab the middle vertex  to add additional vertex points to outline the asset. Continue until the asset has been outlined as necessary.
8. Click on the “Check” icon (upper right-hand corner of map view) to complete the drawing process.
9. Once back in the form screen, confirm that the preview shape matches your asset.
10. Click on the “Floppy Disk” icon (upper right-hand corner) to save the form.
