Companion Worklists in CTW8

Modified on Mon, 1 Apr, 2024 at 7:19 AM

A worklist can now be configured to set up one or more companion worklists. If configured as a grouping when the workflow tasks are related, the Main Worklist and the Companion display as tabs in the worklist grid or card format. This feature allows users to conveniently toggle back and forth between worklists instead of returning to the Home Screen and opening a new worklist from there.

  • The Home Screen still looks the same, but depending upon how the Companion Worklists are configured, they may or may not be visible as individual Worklists on the Home Screen or on the list of Worklists from the Main Menu.
  • The Worklist Details Screen is where the Companion Worklists are visible if they have been grouped together in a single display for related workflow tasks.
  • You can switch between Tabs and interact with each Worklist on the Worklist Details screen.
  • Users have access to the full grid or card when opening the Companion Worklist with access to assets, filters, forms, form history, and can refresh data exactly like when they are Main Worklist.
  • If the relationship between the Main Worklist and the Companion Worklist is a cascading workflow, you would see the data from the previous Worklist updated automatically in the Companion Worklist.
  • Each Worklist will be colored in the Legend respective to the content in the Worklist.
  • Companion Worklists can be controlled for visibility on the Device in the Layers selection when opening the 3-dot menu. As an example, this feature would be useful to hide zones when viewing fields.
